(1-25 of 359)Good, but could use some improvements
- Organizing Files
- Company wide & limited access
- Document accessibility
- Simultaneous user editing
- Storage backup
- File recovery
Dropbox for Creatives
- Quick drag and drop file sharing

- Sharing folders easily using generated links
- Easy sharing space for internal team members
- Proofing galleries for clients with integrated selection tools
- Better file folder management
- Integrate translation tools to enable users to work in the language of their choice
- The ability to schedule and share folders/assets
- Better batch selection. E.g. select all from selected date range, select all odd, even
A step above
- Has the least amount of steps to create a link to file or files
- Uploads in the background
- Generally synch pretty intuitively on android mobile and windows pc
- The speed and click-through to add media to a new or existing folder is more steps than through Google Drive, we used this single function 10s if not hundreds of times per day for our 2000+ clients, this needs to be simplified
- Not offering a pro-rated refund after having service with you for over a decade business & personal is totally unacceptable, regardless of any future service improvements, we fully intend to not use your service again
Casual User of Dropbox
- sharing files with others
- sharing video coworkers have recorded of their screen

- organization of files

Dropbox, great for teams!
- Organization
- Sharing of files
- Quick uploads
- Time of upload of files
- Informing you who created a folder.
WHO OWNES MY FILES
- File sharing and storage
- collaboration
- archive
- in operation keeping files refreshed over time
- overtly complex operation
Dropbox Business
- keeps items organized
- cloud based
- syncs automatically with all users
- availability to edit at the same time, the same version (not create multiple versions)
It feels like a super robust filing system.
However, when it comes to collaborative work (multiple people working on the same document at the same time), dropbox is not ideal. It saves multiple version of the document which adds confustion. Because of this we use googe drive for collaborative work although Google Drive is less organized in my opinion.
Love Dropbox but has some bugs to fix
- Storing photos
- organizing files
- making working from home easier to access assets

- Integration into other apps like Gmail to easily upload and share.
Fine

- Lag in saving files for others to see.
- Losing edits because of overwritten data.
- Working concurrently in a file.
Connected, safe and accessible all in one storage.
- Access from any computer or Internet connected device
- Large storage
- Quick syncing
- Reliable and safe
- Requires a lot of storage locally
- Can end up with conflicted copies, if a file is left open elsewhere.
Essential for Efficient Workflow
- Knowledgeable and accessible customer support
- Reliable and dependable cloud storage
- Important safeguards for when mistakes happen
- Versatile among a number of applications and scenarios
- Although I use a paid subscription, recommending the free Dropbox option to new users can be a little difficult to understand because it does not seem to be free up front.
- In-browser interface is a little clunky and sometimes it is difficult locating certain features.
- online/offline files and folders are difficult to understand.
- Increased usability with other software programs
It is less suited for companies and organizations that have the in-house infrastructure for local servers
Dropbox for 3D designers
- File Syncing
- Notification center
- Sharing files and folder with good permission options
- Change the name of the root folder, the "()" can cause problems sometimes with some tools trying to find paths inside of the root folder.
- The upload queue becomes slow trying to upload files that have more than ~500mb of file size, even if I have 1 Gbit of speed, Dropbox gets stuck uploading single files with that rule.
- Sometimes we can't move a shared folder from root location.
- LAN sync seems not to be working in my experience.
For syncing a lot of small files, like image sequences or 3D cache files from DCC programs, also for "real-time" virtual shared drive with others colleagues.
Less appropriate:
For syncing a lot of individual files with a lot size, around over than 500 MBs, for example AI models.
Efficient collaboration for hybrid teams
- syncing with the mac desktop and operating system
- making files accessible quickly while working remote
- clear indication of file permissions
- unable to share files outside of my organization easily I've found
- backup is redundant for me, and the backup pages on the web version are confusing
Dropbox, the most important tool we use every day.
- Secure Backup
- Collaboration in teams
- Control of shared digital assets with external parties
- Integration with Hello Sign was a bit clunky
- Desktop app has had a few bugs recently
- Backup options when plugging in new devices can be a bit annoying.
Dropbox is Great for Collaboration and Sharing with Customers

Dropbox at a Glance
- Multiple users and the ability to manage permissions accordingly
- Edit documents within Dropbox without having to download and then re-upload
- Overall organization and ease of use
- Ability to see the document in a small window without opening it
- Overwrite/replace currently housed documents with the same name eliminating the need to delete the older ones
- The ability to "color-code" specific documents based on their importance
Helpful for Storing and Sharing Much Across Devices
- Upload photos in full size and quality from my phone to an automatically shared folder.
- Allow smooth access to the same files from multiple devices.
- Allow different privacy sharings for different folders.
- I discovered some hidden files on the desktop version that appeared on the website version when the title name was included or other symbols. I then renamed the files and they appeared, but would be smoother to somehow sync those files to appear both on the website and the desktop Dropbox folders, regardless of title names.
- I still don't fully see the difference or the appeal to one or the other with shared folders vs. team folders. We have both for different files, and I'm not sure why two formats are necessary.
- Allow for some sort of setting that puts a cap on the GB of files allowed to download to each device. I first also synced the Dropbox drive on the desktop of my personal laptop for the occasional work while traveling, but it downloaded too much for the device to function properly, so I had to uninstall it and access the files via remote desktop, instead.
